The layout is designed to favor groups for easier importing.
At the beginning of the song, it uses 12 groups generically called “House Prop” #1-12. These are used to spread small pops of light around the house on a single prop each. You can assign any prop to these when importing, such as snowflakes, stars, or candy canes. It looks best if you use a single prop each and spread them out across your display.
There are 8 minitree/minitree star groups that are used to follow notes at a few points in the song, but never more than one note simultaneously. If you have fewer than 8 minitrees, like I do, you can still map all 8 groups and there will not be overlap. For example:
Group 7.1 MiniTree_and_MTStar 1: Your physical MiniTree 1 and MiniTree Star 1
Group 7.2 MiniTree_and_MTStar 2: Your physical MiniTree 2 and MiniTree Star 2
Group 7.3 MiniTree_and_MTStar 3: Your physical MiniTree 3 and MiniTree Star 3
Group 7.4 MiniTree_and_MTStar 4: Your physical MiniTree 4 and MiniTree Star 4
Group 7.5 MiniTree_and_MTStar 5: Your physical MiniTree 1 and MiniTree Star 1
Group 7.6 MiniTree_and_MTStar 6: Your physical MiniTree 2 and MiniTree Star 2
Group 7.7 MiniTree_and_MTStar 7: Your physical MiniTree 3 and MiniTree Star 3
Group 7.8 MiniTree_and_MTStar 8: Your physical MiniTree 4 and MiniTree Star 4
I have 21-inch stars included in this layout, but I understand they're not as common. They function here much the same as snowflakes that many people use. There is one group called "Snowflakes +Stars21in" that might be imported in one of two ways:
1) It could be imported as some form of "all dense props" group you might have, as it is only used a few times to make all the stars and snowflakes flash
2) To just use snowflakes, import the group "8.0 Snowflakes" to your snowflakes. Then, import (without erasing first) the group "Snowflakes +Stars21in" onto your snowflakes as well.
