As the site continues to grow, I have to look at ways of making the site easier for everyone to use and for myself to manage.
For the past few months there has been two ways for members to add sequences to the site. One was to upload the sequence direct, the second and most recent addition has been to add a link to the sequence from Google Drive/Dropbox/ OneDrive etc.
The second option has been extremely popular, making it quicker and easier for seqeunces to be added and also a lot simplier for members to download.
As such, the decision has been made the xLightsSeq will only accept download links and will end the process of uploading seqeunces.
Google Drive offers 15GB of free storage.
OneDrive offers 5GB of free storage.
Dropbox offers 2GB of free storage.
Other storage locations are supported, this is just an example.
When uploading a sequence, just paste the URL of the uploaded file into the red box.
This change doesn't affect anything else, except where the sequence is stored. It will make the process of uploading and downloading a lot quicker and easier for everyone involved.
Thanks
Dave
