New to X-Lights. I need help setting up a simple scene with 6 individual lights

I have never used X-Lights but I think it will help me as part of a larger project I am working on with Hot Air Balloons. Real ones at a Balloon festival. I find the interface to be not at all intuitive and was unable to set up 6 individual lights for sequencing even with the help of Chat GPT.

I don't need help with the actual sequencing, just with setting up the scene.

The idea is that the 6 lights I want will represent 6 Hot air balloons sitting on the field during the Hot Air Balloon Festival at dusk. For half an hour I play music and try to instruct the balloonists to fire their burners in an order that makes certain patterns on the field.

This year I built a wireless system with a small wireless box in each balloon with an LED on it. I would create patterns and the balloon pilots would just watch for the LED to come on and would fire their burners each time it comes on to create chaser patterns and other more complex patterns all to the beat of songs like Great Balls Of Fire, Come on Eileen, I would walk 500 miles, and other songs with distinct patterns and fun dance-able beats.

All I need to get started is to get the scene set.

Can someone help me to get started in X-Lights so I can get started working out the patterns.

Six balloons is the most we would have on the field because of the space available. We might have 5, or 4 depending on which balloon pilots are available and how much fuel they have left. So I would need a scene set up for 6 balloons, one for for 5 balloons, and one for four, which means just setting up 1 for six and then deleting one for each of the other options

I hope someone wants to help me set these simple scenes and get me started with the programming.

Hi,

What you plan to setup looks very simple from the xLights point of view. The question is how you plan to send the information to the LEDs in the balloons. You say that there is a wireless box in each balloon, what type of wireless box? You need to setup a network in xLights to send specific information to specific IP addresses, the IP addresses of the LED controllers.
