Ms Rachel – I Love a Rainbow (whole-house rainbow)
My kid loves Ms Rachel, so this year the Halloween show gets a 96-second rainbow break. I built this one for the little ones in the crowd: as each color is sung, a bar of that color lights up across the house from left to right until the whole rainbow is filled in.
The rainbow effects are done with custom shaders on an all-props group, so they span the entire layout instead of repeating on each prop. To use them, put every prop in one group and set the render buffer to Per Preview. The shader files are included, and the bars shader has Left edge and Right edge sliders so you can fit it to your own house.
Layout with roofline eaves, arches, mini trees, window frames, a flag pole and four matrix panels. It should map to most layouts without much work since nearly everything runs on the whole-house group.
Feel free to use it and change it however you like. If your kids light up when the rainbow comes on, that's the whole point.
