Hello everybody. Been dreaming about a lightshow for about 20 years now. Finally bit the bullet and bought the F16v5 and a bunch of goodies. everything is okay so far been working on sequences and such. Waiting on my Raspberry pie and will get in on the Zoom chat at some point. My question is about these LED strip lights I bought off Amazon to go in my arches. I hooked them up to the Falcon and it's not the right colors, just got some lights from Holiday Coro and waiting on more from Wired Watts. The ones from Coro are working fine. The strip is WS2811 from BTF which should be the same protocol as the other lights. Oddly some of the patterns match up while others are off. Any ideas? did I waste my money? Here are the ones I got: https://www.amazon.com/BTF-LIGHTING...8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1 but in IP65 waterproof.

Thank you and look forward to meeting cool folks.

working out of town so cant post screen shots .... your best to change the color order in xlights as it will then set the same color order in your falcon f16 ... change the default RGB to what ever your strips are
TIP: if your running a prop that is RGB and the next prop is GBR or something different ... you MUST set the color order of each prop on that port even tho it maybe the default RBG

Hello I basically got the same lights except I got 2 of these WS2811 RGB IC LED Strip Flexible Dream Color Addressable Chasing Effec in the waterproof version of the 5M 30 LEDs/m. While I quickly discovered they are NOT TRUE RGB I figured out I was able to get the colors correct by changing them from RGB to GBR ( i think) in the config of this in my xlights layout; however I'm struggling to get these lights to match what I have sequenced in Xlights... I felt like I was starting to get on to something becuase I initially counted out 75 leds for the left and right that was a full strip cut in have and then 150 at the top .... this was intended for my garage outline.....anyway it's wasn't looking correct so I decreased the layout count to 25 on left and right and 50 on top which bizarrely each light still was in use but the patterns still didn't match the sequence. The fact that each light was still on tells me there seems to be some weird channel behviour here with these lights that I'm not understanding yet that is defintely not the 300 pixels that I thought it was...... This is what it look like, but I really need to show a comparison of what is sequenced in xlights to show how this isn't correct.
